Every morning when I come to work, I have to unlock the Boss Woman's door as I get here at 8:00 a.m. (technically 8:07 a.m. as that is the latest I may punch my happy ass in before being considered late) and she gets here at 9:00 a.m.
Unlocking the door is one of my very important job duties and I take it quite seriously.
She always has all these papers and Very Important Things To Do lists scattered atop her desk. I always glance over them very quickly to make sure that none of the tasks read "Fire Toastcrumbs today and have Security escort her from the building".
After I have made sure that particular task is NOT on the list, I can go on with my day and eat my bagel.
