Gangster Toast

So that no one has to hit the older entries button, let me repost this lovely e-mail from my boss yesterday:

Subject: FW: Alert: Payment Reminder

Has this been paid to date, yes or no? I have asked for a response from you and recevied nothing. Please email me if this has been done first thing this am when you come in. If yes, great. If not, why not and what have you done specifically to accomplish this. Please do not tell me that you are waiting for me to get back on the 15th to do something that you can do for me while I am gone. Again, please email me first thing this am on this.

He also attached to this a payment reminder from American Express stating the bill was due Monday, 8/8. So I’m thinking shoot, this IS my fault. Crap. I call Accounts Payable and beg them to send the check overnight today. They politely tell me the soonest it can be done is Monday – that being the due date. Then I call American Express and try to explain the situation, blah, blah, and would it please be possible to extend the due date? At which point the very polite customer service lady explains that the bill is not due until Monday 8/22.

Duh, I knew this. AmEx bills are ALWAYS due on the 22nd – I submit expense reports the first week and follow up on the 15th to make sure they are paid. Shoot.

You know the e-mail he forwarded me saying the bill was due on the 8th? Yeah, that was for his own personal AmEx card which I have nothing to do with. I hope they charge him a huge honking late charge.

Dumbass. I hope he gets ass herpes.

It’s a good thing I’m on antidepressants or his attitude and behavior might actually upset me. As it is now, I am feeling no pain.

My theme song of the day is “Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangster”.

This week has been one giant fireball of flaming fun.
